Tension Causing Headache

Tension headache is the most common headache. It accounts about 90% of total. It can occur if patient is suffering from migraine. Other reasons by which headache can be caused are: -

1.) Eye strain
2.) Fatigue
3.) Usage of alcohol
4.) Smoking
5.) Use of caffeine
6.) Sinus infection
7.) Overexertion
8.) Influenza
9.) Nasal congestion
10.) Cold.

Tension headache is caused by the contraction of scalp and neck muscles. Muscle contraction occurs due to stress, anxiety or a head injury. This type of headache can be caused by sleeping in awkward position and sleeping in a cold room. Severe injury is blow on head or by jaw pain then headache can also cause headache. Problems like of arthritis or inflammation can develop tension headache.
